Following brief closure, re-opened under new tenant in May 2019. 18th c coaching Inn (London- Bristol). Traditional bar area and separate section for food service. Close to the white horse chalk figure on the hill and local monuments. An extensive refurbishment in May 2017 has revitalised the pub. 2020: Planning permission granted to build houses on car park, but pub remains.
