Our Branch Events
Dear Ale Drinkers
Welcome to CAMRA North West Wiltshire. Our branch has about 270 members and includes some wonderful real ale pubs. The region also contains the well known Moles Brewery and The Box Steam Brewery.
Our biggest event is the Chippenham Beer festival, which is held every year in the Olympiad in Chippenham. This is always an amazing weekend and introduces many people to a huge variety of real ales, often for the first time. Our main aim is to promote real ale and the festival certainly succeeds in doing this!
We also have a lot of other social events for our members.
If you would like to get involved and join our campaign for real ale please come along to our next branch meeting you will be made most welcome

We have just got back from Berlin, it was our most successful visit yet with 18 members making the trip. A full report thanks to Richard Putley can be read here
In 2005 we visited Prague, a great city with wonderful bars also its quite cheep!

2005 beer of the festival presentation
A good few people turned up to see the presentation of Beer of the festival to Box Steam for thier Tunnel Vison beer.
GBBF The Great British Beer Festival
Over 400 beers how could we not have a good day! Crazy hats, face painting, great beer. An absolute must for any beer fan! we are going next year!
Young’s Brewery 23rd September 2005
Fantastic day we were treated very well, especially in the sample room! Another trip to Youngs will be organised soon so keep a look out.
Previous Pub crawls:
Chippenham (6th May)
This was a very successful evening, we visited The Old Road, New Inn, Black Horse, Three Crowns and the Four Seasons. All the pubs were serving good quality real ale but the surprise of the evening was The Three Crowns which had 3 real ales! Sharps Eden, Courage Best and Courage Directors. Its well worth a visit.
Cirencester (14th May)
Another successful trip sampling some of Cirencesters great pubs! Also only £3 return on the bus from Chippenham, Bargain!
